The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Hess misses its intended target.

Jon Hess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hess tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hess avoids it really well and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hess will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lee up against the cage.

Hess creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Lee's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Lee drops to his knees and Hess pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
