Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Shcloff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danilo Caparas!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shcloff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Caparas tries to avoid it but Shcloff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Caparas to the ground. Caparas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Caparas throws a head kick that Shcloff semi-blocks.
It looks like Rick Shcloff has been cut.
Shcloff fails to land the takedown.
Shcloff uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Caparas.
Caparas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shcloff fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Caparas avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Shcloff. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Caparas lands with a nice body kick.
Shcloff is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Caparas lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shcloff tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Caparas.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Caparas thumps Shcloff with a low kick.
Shcloff takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Caparas works Shcloff's body with a nice hook.
Nice body kick there by Caparas.
Shcloff takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Caparas lands a big head kick that sends Shcloff tumbling to the mat! Caparas takes a step backwards and waves Shcloff back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Shcloff is rocked!
Shcloff walks forward, straight into a front kick from Caparas.
Oh Shcloff is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Caparas moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Shcloff gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
