Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dwight K Schrute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernest Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzales is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rick Ross. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwight K Schrute! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ernest Gonzales! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! K Schrute fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Gonzales looking to land some kicks to the body here.
K Schrute shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gonzales counters with a shoot takedown. K Schrute fights it but they end up in guard. K Schrute trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzales keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of K Schrute's head. Gonzales trying to control but K Schrute is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. K Schrute is adopting a defensive guard. Gonzales wanted to stand there but K Schrute had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. K Schrute looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gonzales is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ernest Gonzales has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Gonzales looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. K Schrute gets a takedown into half guard. Gonzales is trying to control but can't.

K Schrute is looking to take a break and control but Gonzales is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzales looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Gonzales is refusing to be controlled, as K Schrute sits in half guard. K Schrute is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gonzales is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Gonzales blocking the ground and pound attempt from K Schrute. Gonzales should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. K Schrute tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gonzales knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. K Schrute tries to stand but can't do so whilst Gonzales controls his leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dwight K Schrute. Gonzales has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gonzales gets control of K Schrute's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gonzales will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Gonzales controls K Schrute momentarily but K Schrute frees himself. Gonzales is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Gonzales looks gassed! K Schrute throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gonzales working a defensive guard here.

Ernest Gonzales has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. K Schrute wants to clinch but Gonzales slips to the side and Gonzales counters with a nice double leg into guard. Gonzales wants to get up but he can't break K Schrute's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. K Schrute is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gonzales gets to his feet - K Schrute follows without any prompting. Gonzales takes a shot right to the bread basket. Gonzales takes one on the button. Gonzales takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. K Schrute darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. K Schrute will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. K Schrute wants to pass the guard but Gonzales is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ernest Gonzales will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gonzales gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. K Schrute throws a big right hand that misses. Gonzales is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. K Schrute decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gonzales, up you get! K Schrute throws a series of strikes that have Gonzales backpedaling.
It looks like Ernest Gonzales has been cut. K Schrute fails with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Gonzales or perhaps it was just good defense by K Schrute which made him look bad. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. K Schrute shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Gonzales wants to improve his position but K Schrute is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzales closes the distance but K Schrute moves to the side and K Schrute counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Gonzales keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. K Schrute shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gonzales sprawls well. Gonzales wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. K Schrute gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwight K Schrute. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gonzales closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gonzales trying to control the action but K Schrute is working from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dwight K Schrute will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ernest Gonzales's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. K Schrute doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gonzales counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in K Schrute's guard now. K Schrute can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gonzales controls the pace. Gonzales keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of K Schrute's head. Gonzales trying to control the position from guard on top but K Schrute is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. K Schrute is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gonzales sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzales advances position into side control! Gonzales stands up. K Schrute is looking to slow Gonzales down with leg kicks. K Schrute tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nice body punch from K Schrute.
That's four minutes gone in the round. K Schrute shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gonzales counters with a nice low kick that buckles K Schrute's knee momentarily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwight K Schrute. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gonzales moves in looking to clinch but K Schrute pushes him off. Gonzales tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but K Schrute swivels and escapes. K Schrute drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gonzales managing to control the position. Gonzales working a defensive guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! Ernest Gonzales comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gonzales has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
