Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Hammon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomi Karttunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomi Karttunen looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Hammon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomi Karttunen!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammon lands with a kick to the temple. Karttunen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Hammon fails with an attempt to clinch.

Karttunen gets a takedown into half guard.
Hammon pushes Karttunen off looking to stand but Karttunen dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are battling for position here. Hammon manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Hammon is working an open guard so Karttunen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Hammon wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Karttunen manages to pass to side control.

Karttunen throws a strike but Hammon avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Karttunen is looking to land body kicks.
Karttunen moves out of range of the body kick from Hammon.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Karttunen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Karttunen jumps guard but Hammon stands there with Karttunen around his waist. Karttunen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hammon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Karttunen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Karttunen's back!

Hammon is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Karttunen is defending well though. Hammon let's go of the attempt for now.

Hammon wants to clinch but Karttunen slips to the side

and Karttunen counters with a single leg into guard. Hammon didn't expect that.

Hammon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Karttunen manages to get himself to full guard.

Hammon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Karttunen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hammon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Karttunen's back instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karttunen is breathing heavily.

Hammon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Karttunen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hammon wants to control but Karttunen is keeping him busy.
Hammon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hammon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hammon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Karttunen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Karttunen manages to end up in side control.

What can Hammon do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Tomi Karttunen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Karttunen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
