Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Via Dios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dios comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Via Dios! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zack Miller! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dios tries to clinch up. Miller fails with the takedown. Miller tries for a takedown but Dios circles away easily and Dios decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Miller's guard. Dios really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dios trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miller keeping full guard, as Dios tries to pass. Dios passes into half guard. Dios missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Miller is looking for a sweep. Dios is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dios sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Miller defending well though. Miller keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Miller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller is holding on to half guard well. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Dios wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miller keeps working. Dios stops Miller from getting back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A looping hook to the body misses from Dios. Miller does a little dance to reset his feet. A slow jab from Dios misses its intended target. Miller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dios but Dios pushes him off and we're back to square one. Via Dios has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zack Miller. Miller ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dios swinging wildly here.
Miller misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dios misses with a body shot.
Dios tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dios fails with the takedown and Miller counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dios won't be happy with that. Dios is looking for a sweep. Dios is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Miller working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dios regains half guard there - taking advantage of Miller's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller not doing much here.
Miller is keen to just control but Dios is a slippery customer. Dios kicks Miller off and gets back to his feet. Dios shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Miller wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller pushes Dios off and gets back to his feet. Dios throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dios throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Miller on the side of the head. Miller doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dios moves into the clinch. Miller has Dios pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dios manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Miller wants to get back to striking at distance but Dios won't allow it.
Dios trying to control the position but instead, Miller has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dios into the cage. Miller wants to break free but Dios has control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Miller as Dios tries to tie him up. Miller wants to get back to striking at distance but Dios won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Via Dios dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dios is looking to clinch but Miller is avoiding it.
Dios keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Dios with a poor takedown and Miller decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dios's guard. Dios avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Miller throws a strike but Dios rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Miller keeping moving, preventing Dios from controlling successfully. Miller tries to land a sweep but no joy. Miller pushes Dios off and scrambles back to his feet.
No luck for Miller with that takedown attempt. Dios misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dios to the mat! Dios manages to get full guard. Dios is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Miller distracts Dios with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Miller trying to control but Dios is working from the bottom. Miller stopping the sweep attempt from Dios. Dios wants to stand but Miller is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Miller trying to control but Dios is working from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Miller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dios is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miller, into his guard. Miller pushes Dios off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dios pinned against the cage. Dios gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dios tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range. Dios misses with a series of wild punches.
Dios lands a jab-cross combination. Miller slips under a jab. Dios checks a leg kick. Miller circles away from the clinch attempt.
Miller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dios. Dios shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dios was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dios controlling from the full mount. Dios landing punches. Dios working Miller over with strikes here. Zack Miller has got the better of the ground game so far. Miller wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller is breathing heavily. Dios is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Miller has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Dios misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Zack Miller will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Miller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Miller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dios swivels and escapes. Dios darts in trying to clinch so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dios has his foot on Miller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miller works his way back into a safe position though. Miller landing some decent shots from guard. Miller stays in close to Dios's body and controls the position. Dios preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller throws and elbow that misses. Dios uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Miller's guard. Nice move by Dios! Dios won't allow Miller to get back to his feet. Miller pushes Dios off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Dios tries to clinch up and Miller counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Miller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dios is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miller's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miller's back! Miller tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Dios prevents Miller from getting the reversal. Dios wants to control the pace but Miller is squirming around nicely. Miller holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dios tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Miller takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dios has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Miller's face.
Dios thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Miller is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dios throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Miller wants to get back to his feet.
Dios content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dios prevents Miller from getting the reversal. Dios looking to finish with strikes here!
Miller wants to control but Dios is having none of it. Dios unloads with some shots from mount but Miller bucks and avoids them well.
You get the feeling that Miller really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Dios tries to control but Miller wriggling away. Dios postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Miller looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Miller manages to regain half guard. Good work. Miller wants to get back to his feet. Miller regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Dios. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dios accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dios wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. Dios stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dios trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Zack Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Miller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
