Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angel Riori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Drennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drennan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Illy-oi!. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Drennan!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Riori misses
and Drennan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Drennan looks to score with a jab to the body but Riori is just out of range.
Riori fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Drennan avoids it really well and circles away.
Riori shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Drennan counters with an outside leg kick.
An inside leg kick from Drennan misses.
Riori misses with a takedown attempt
and Drennan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

A decent looking cross lands there for Drennan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A slapping body kick lands there for Drennan.
Drennan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Riori eats them both and turns towards Drennan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Riori takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Drennan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Riori has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Drennan motions for Riori to come forward. Drennan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Riori chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Drennan can pounce on him.
Drennan scores with the left hand. Riori knows he should have avoided that one.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Riori stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drennan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Drennan clobbers Riori with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Riori counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Drennan regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Riori.
Drennan keeping moving, preventing Riori from controlling successfully.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drennan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gary Drennan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Drennan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
