The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens looks for a takedown but Strikes sprawls well.
Owens shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Strikes as he jumps to the side.
Owens ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Strikes moves away.
Strikes lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Dupree Owens has been cut.
Strikes pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Owens counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Owens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strikes walks away with a smile on his face. Owens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Strikes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
