Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tsuda Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Matters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki throws a nice looking combination but Matters bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Suzuki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Matters takes a swing at Suzuki's ribcage but misses.
Matters misses the shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Suzuki.
Matters rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Suzuki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Suzuki throws a right hand that Matters ducks under and follows up with a left that Matters also avoids with ease.
Matters shoots in and gets a takedown into Suzuki's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Suzuki keeping moving, preventing Matters from controlling successfully.
Suzuki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Suzuki looking for a guillotine here but Matters defends easily.
Suzuki is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Matters frees his head nicely. Oh but Suzuki has switched to an armbar! Matters is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
