Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fin Shark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Truck comes to the cage accompanied by Knockin Heads Off . Shark has chosen Dan Sebenarnya as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shaun Truck ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fin Shark! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Truck throws a head kick that misses. Truck throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Shark's head. Truck looks to land a combination but Shark avoids it well. Truck closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Shark is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Truck decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shark to his feet. Shaun Truck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shark drives through with a takedown into guard. Shark is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Shark wants to get up but he can't break Truck 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Truck had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shark is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Truck Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shark's back instead. Shark manages to reverse the position and now he's in Truck 's guard. Nice work there by Shark.
Shark trying to control but Truck is working from the bottom. Shark not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Truck has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Shark stands up over Truck , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Shark drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Truck dives on top into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shark is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Truck pushes down on Shark's leg and manages to get into half guard. Shark looks gassed! Shark trying to hold on to Truck 's head to control him but Truck postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Truck seems to be working for a kimura but Shark defends the submission attempt. Truck sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Shark defending well though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shark is trying to stand up here but Truck is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shaun Truck dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Truck throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Truck with a poor takedown and Shark counters with a nice double leg into side control. Truck won't be happy with that. Truck is not content to let Shark control the position. Truck looking for a sweep but Shark has passed into full mount! Oh no! Shark trying to control but Truck is having none of it. Shark is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Truck is desperately trying to improve his position but Shark has a good base and remains in mount. Truck is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Truck doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? You get the feeling that Truck really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Truck really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Shark trying to control but he's not successful this time. Truck is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shark tries to control but Truck wriggling away. Truck is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Truck is trying desperately to improve position. Shark trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shark takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Good control from Shark. Shark lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Truck tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fin Shark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Shark steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Truck . Truck misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Truck shoots in looking for a takedown. Shark tries to sprawl out of it but Truck keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Truck tries for a takedown but Shark circles away easily and Shark counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Truck keeping moving, preventing Shark from controlling successfully. Truck is working an open guard so Shark takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Truck throws a sloppy head kick and Shark moves out of range easily. Shark looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Shark feints and as Truck raises his hands in defense, Shark changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shark advances position into side control! Shark goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Truck has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Shark but great work by Truck . Shark takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Truck stands up. Truck decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Shark is trying to control but can't.
Shark is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Truck wants to take a breather but Shark is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Truck wants to pass to mount but Shark is defending the position. Truck frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Truck avoids the attempt from Shark to control. Shark is desperately trying to improve his position but Truck has a good base and remains in mount. Shark manages to regain half guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Truck seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Shark makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shark. Shark is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! Fin Shark comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Shark has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
