Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Zebub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Zebub's choice of entrance music: Jester. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bill Zebub!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zebub has his takedown stuffed
and Griffin counters with a two punch combo.
Zebub lands a nice looking body shot.
Zebub moves out of range of the body kick.
Griffin throws a body kick that misses.
Zebub shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zebub showed some decent athleticism there.
Zebub seems to be looking for submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zebub throwing shots but Griffin is blocking nicely.
Zebub wants to free his trapped foot but Griffin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Griffin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zebub on the ground.
Griffin is looking for a sweep. Zebub is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Zebub working over Griffin with some ground and pound. Griffin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Zebub is looking to advance position but Griffin won't allow it.
Griffin wants to get back to full guard.

Zebub working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Zebub has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Zebub takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Zebub is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Griffin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Griffin tries to get out of the position.
Zebub avoids the attempt from Griffin to control.

Griffin is in a horrible position here. Zebub smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zebub has hold of Griffin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Griffin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
