The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neal keeps the fight on the outside.
Neal tries to score a power double leg takedown but A Claque sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Neal somewhat.
Neal circles away from the clinch attempt
and Neal counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A Claque keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Grosse Face A Claque seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A Claque tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Neal counters with a shoot takedown. A Claque fights it but they end up in guard.
A Claque controls Neal momentarily but Neal frees himself.
Neal tries to stand but A Claque is controlling from the bottom.
A Claque trying to control the position.
Neal wants to control from the top but A Claque keeps moving.
Neal trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A Claque seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Grosse Face A Claque.

A Claque might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Neal is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A Claque goes for an armbar but Neal turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Neal.

Neal not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neal has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing A Claque to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Neal is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - A Claque pulls down on the head and he's put Neal to sleep! This one is all over!
