Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Conway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Perry!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Conway with that takedown attempt.
Perry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Perry moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Perry misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Conway.

Conway manages to break the clinch.

Conway gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Perry to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Perry takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Perry uses his free foot to push down on Conway's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Conway.
Conway tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Conway is bucking up trying to escape but Perry cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Perry breaks from Conway's wrist control and lands an elbow.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Perry is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Conway can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Perry lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Perry looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Perry has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Conway's face.

Sean Perry dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Perry throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Conway was covering up waiting for the punch and Perry finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Perry working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sean Perry has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Perry is nestled in close to Conway, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Conway tries to lock up and control but Perry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Perry cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Conway's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The referee warns Conway that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Perry prevents Conway from getting the reversal.
Perry lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Perry is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Conway doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Perry.

Perry is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Conway reverses the position - he's now on top in Perry's guard.
Perry is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Perry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Perry seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Perry looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Conway with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well Perry has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
