Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Tony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doctor Ball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that James Tony has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily James Tony seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Tony! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Doctor Ball! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ball wants to clinch and Tony counters by moving into the clinch. Ball tries to break free but Tony pushes him back against the cage. Tony goes for a takedown attempt but Ball pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ball feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ball stopping the sweep attempt from Tony. Tony keeping moving, preventing Ball from controlling successfully. Tony preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ball advances position into side control! Tony gets back to half guard. Ball is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ball is looking to take a break and control but Tony is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tony has hold of Ball's hands but Ball slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ball prevents Tony from improving his position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tony looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tony is refusing to be controlled, as Ball sits in half guard. Ball sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tony defending well though. Ball wants to control but Tony is keeping him busy. Tony has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ball is working away from the top position though. Ball throwing shots but Tony is blocking nicely. Tony wants to get back to full guard. Tony slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ball stays in close to Tony's body and controls the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ball stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tony swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tony is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ball slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ball got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tony has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ball has managed to get both his arms back between Tony's legs - danger averted. Ball wants to control from the top but Tony keeps moving. Tony looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ball slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Ball trying to control the position but Tony is working away. Ball is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tony has escaped the position, nice work there. Ball lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ball wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tony keeps working. Ball in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Tony tries to buck Ball off but Ball is having none of it. Ball trying to control the action but Tony is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ball works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Ball wants to control but Tony is keeping him busy. Ball swings around for an armbar but Tony sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ball's guard. Ball looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tony avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tony trying to control the position from guard on top but Ball is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ball has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ball utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ball throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tony sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ball misses with a two punch combination.

Doctor Ball is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tony gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ball tries to circle away but Tony has him pinned against the cage. Ball is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ball has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tony avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Ball's face as he tries to break the clinch. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tony, as that shot connected.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ball lands a jab-cross combination. Tony drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Ball misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tony.
Ball swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tony counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Tony showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ball.
Tony throws an overhand right that lands on Ball's shoulder, as Ball tries to avoid the shot. The fight stays on the outside here - Tony looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ball stuffs the takedown attempt from Tony. Tony gets slowly back to his feet. Ball tries to clinch but Tony is having none of it. Ball uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tony. Ball pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ball goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Ball tests Tony's chin there with a solid looking shot. Tony cracks Ball with a right hand to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tony staying out of range there. Ball looks to land a combination but Tony avoids it well. Tony throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tony moves out of range as Ball strikes. Tony tries a head kick but it misses.

Ball stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ball wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Tony. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tony tries to sprawl but Ball drives through with a takedown into half guard. Ball trying to control the action but Tony is working from the bottom. Tony wants to improve his position but Ball is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Doctor Ball. A head kick misses from Tony. Tony blocks a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tony closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ball circles away. Tony darts in and clinches Ball up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Ball's face as he tries to break the clinch. Ball wants to break free but Tony has control.

Ball lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tony backwards. Ball is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ball tries to break free but Tony pushes him back against the cage. Tony stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Ball is trying to break free. Ball jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tony walks away with a smile on his face. Ball gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ball tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tony manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tony circles away from the clinch attempt and Tony makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doctor Ball showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ball wants to control from the top but Tony keeps moving. Ball won't allow Tony to sweep him here. Tony wants to hit a switch here but Ball passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Tony there! Ball is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tony has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ball scoring with strikes but Tony is staying in there. Ball looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ball lands with some strikes. Tony in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Ball prevents Tony from getting the reversal. Ball tries to control but Tony wriggling away. Ball with good strikes from the mount here! Ball wants to control the pace but Tony is squirming around nicely. Ball is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tony can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ball tries to control but Tony wriggling away. Ball with a couple of short strikes. Ball prevents Tony from getting the reversal. Ball lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
