7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karl Spatz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arturo Caldeira! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caldeira throws a lazy head kick and Spatz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Arturo Caldeira has been cut. Spatz stuns Caldeira with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Caldeira throws a leg kick and Spatz counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Spatz scores with a body shot.
Spatz lands with a shot to the body. Caldeira looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! A head kick by Caldeira misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. A head kick by Caldeira misses and Spatz counters with an inside leg kick. Spatz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Caldeira takes a shot right to the bread basket. Spatz connects with a looping right hand.
Spatz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Spatz works Caldeira's body with a nice hook. Spatz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Nice straight punches there by Spatz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Spatz.
Caldeira is rocked! Spatz dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Caldeira is still on wobbly legs! Can Spatz finish him? Spatz scores with a crisp jab that stopped Caldeira in his tracks. Arturo Caldeira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caldeira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Spatz controlling Caldeira's posture. Spatz pushes Caldeira off and gets back to his feet.
Spatz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Spatz thuds a left hand into Caldeira's body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spatz scores with a crisp jab that stopped Caldeira in his tracks. Spatz scores with a hook to the body. Caldeira takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Spatz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Caldeira takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Spatz drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Caldeira right on the button. Caldeira goes down! Spatz follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Spatz gets the win via TKO!
