The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamikaze leaves Story with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Story looks for a takedown but Kamikaze sprawls well.
Story shoots in and drives through. Kamikaze sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Story. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kamikaze can do anything to dispel that myth.

Story slips a nice elbow through Kamikaze's hands, connecting with Kamikaze's forehead.

Kamikaze is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kamikaze pushes Story off looking to stand but Story dives back in and keeps control.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Story lands a nice short elbow.

Story working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Story connects with a nice short shot to Kamikaze's temple.

Story moves into full mount! Kamikaze won't be happy about that!

Story is landing with some decent strikes but Kamikaze is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.


Kamikaze is rocked!
Story breaks from Kamikaze's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kamikaze is still in real trouble! Can Story finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kamikaze's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Story cracks Kamikaze with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
