Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otryad Kovboev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rajun Cajun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Otryad Kovboev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Otryad Kovboev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rajun Cajun! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Cajun or perhaps it was just good defense by Kovboev which made him look bad. Cajun looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kovboev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cajun tries to avoid it but Kovboev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cajun to the ground. Cajun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cajun feints and as Kovboev raises his hands in defense, Cajun changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cajun being controlled here momentarily. Kovboev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cajun's guard. Kovboev postures up in Cajun's guard and throws a big left but Cajun blocks it. Cajun keeping moving, preventing Kovboev from controlling successfully. Kovboev drops back looking for a leg! Cajun is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cajun manages to kick Kovboev off! Kovboev jumps back into Cajun's guard. Kovboev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovboev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kovboev gets to his feet - Cajun follows without any prompting. Kovboev scores with a one two! Cajun had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Kovboev fails with a takedown attempt. Cajun shoots in looking for a takedown. Kovboev tries to sprawl out of it but Cajun keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kovboev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kovboev scores with a sloppy right hand. Cajun should have avoided that one. Kovboev fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Otryad Kovboev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kovboev shoots and misses and Cajun counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Cajun can't break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cajun is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kovboev can't fight it off and eventually Cajun manages to take the fight to the floor. Kovboev looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kovboev has his hands on Cajun's head, controlling the position. Cajun is looking to stand up but Kovboev won't let him. Kovboev trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Cajun stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kovboev swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cajun slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cajun is looking to take a break and control but Kovboev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cajun advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cajun unloading with bombs! Kovboev takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Kovboev is bucking up trying to escape but Cajun cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Kovboev tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cajun is in the full mount, landing strikes. Kovboev working to try and regain half guard.
Kovboev slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kovboev trying to hold on to Cajun's head to control him but Cajun postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kovboev is looking to improve his position.

Kovboev gets back to full guard.
Kovboev controls Cajun momentarily but Cajun frees himself. Kovboev is looking for a triangle but Cajun pushes his legs off easily.
Cajun drops back looking for a leg! Kovboev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kovboev manages to kick Cajun off! Cajun jumps back into Kovboev's guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kovboev shoots in looking for a takedown. Cajun tries to sprawl out of it but Kovboev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cajun manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rajun Cajun will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kovboev throws a right and a left that Cajun avoids nicely. Kovboev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cajun counters with a shoot takedown. Kovboev fights it but they end up in guard. Kovboev lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cajun! Kovboev raining down shots from the mount! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kovboev cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kovboev stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Nice takedown defense from Cajun. No joy for Kovboev on that attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cajun shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cajun showed some decent athleticism there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kovboev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cajun.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cajun is pressing down on Kovboev's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kovboev is holding on for now. Cajun slips a nice elbow through Kovboev's hands, connecting with Kovboev's forehead. Cajun trying to control from half guard but Kovboev is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cajun keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kovboev is trying to control but can't.
Cajun stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kovboev to get to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Kovboev as Cajun shoots in. Cajun swats away the attempt to clinch by Kovboev.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kovboev connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Cajun tumbling to the canvas! Kovboev pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Cajun was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Otryad Kovboev!
