The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brothers avoids it really well and circles away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Brothers.
Thompson connects with a right hand. Brothers shakes it off.
Brothers motions for Thompson to come forward. Brothers throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A jab from Brothers finds it's way through Thompson's defenses.
Brothers throws a leg kick that is checked
and Thompson counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brothers defending well as Thompson loads up on a big left hand.
Brothers moves out of range as Thompson strikes.
Brothers slips a jab from Thompson.
Thompson checks the leg kick nicely there.
Thompson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brothers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thompson takes one to the side of the head.
Thompson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Brothers throws a lazy head kick
and Thompson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Brothers scores with a nice right hand.
A lazy left from Brothers finds it's target.
A head kick by Brothers misses
and Thompson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brothers scores with a jab to the body.
Thompson is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Both fighters circling a little - Brothers finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Brothers tries to land a front kick but Thompson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Thompson misses the jab.
Brothers connects with an inside leg kick.
Thompson takes a swing at Brothers's ribcage but misses.
Brothers throws a solid leg kick but Thompson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Brothers.
Brothers lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Brothers, right into the meat.
Brothers connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thompson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Brothers fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Thompson.
A solid leg kick lands there for Brothers.
Brothers lands with a slapping head kick.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Brothers! Thompson is out on his feet! Brothers rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Thompson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Thompson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
