Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noel Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Ruenos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Noel Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Ruenos! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruenos fails with a takedown attempt. Ruenos has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jackson. Ruenos looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ruenos has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up. Ruenos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jackson. Jackson throwing strikes from guard but Ruenos blocks nicely. Jackson throws a big right hand that misses. Jackson wants to stand but Ruenos is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson throwing strikes but missing. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jackson wants to stand and escape but instead Ruenos has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ruenos won't allow Jackson to get back to his feet. Jackson pushes Ruenos off and scrambles back to his feet.
Ruenos shoots in looking for a takedown but Jackson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ruenos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jackson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ruenos. Noel Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Ruenos. Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jackson throws a low kick but Ruenos moves out of range easily. Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ruenos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson fails with a takedown attempt. Ruenos leaves Jackson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ruenos on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jackson. Jackson obviously looking to wear him down.
Ruenos gets a double leg takedown into Jackson's guard. Jackson working for a triangle but Ruenos defends it easily.
Ruenos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jackson has his foot on Ruenos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ruenos works his way back into a safe position though. Ruenos pushing down on Jackson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jackson tries to get to full guard but Ruenos has control of the leg. Ruenos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Jackson tries to kick Ruenos off but Ruenos keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ruenos is working for a submission of some sort.
Ruenos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Ruenos eventually gives up the hold. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson is looking to escape. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ruenos is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jackson pushes Ruenos off looking to stand but Ruenos dives back in and keeps control.

Noel Jackson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ruenos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely. Jackson thumps Ruenos with a low kick. Ruenos takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A good leg kick by Jackson. Jackson tries to score with a low kick but Ruenos moves his leg out of the way. Jackson motions for Ruenos to come forward. Jackson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jackson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ruenos tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ruenos to the ground. Ruenos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jackson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A left and a right from Jackson both land. Nice combination. Jackson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ruenos's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. An inside leg kick lands from Jackson. A nice inside leg kick there by Jackson. That's going to slow Ruenos down. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson clinches up with Ruenos and pushes him back against the cage. Ruenos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ruenos napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ground and pound from Jackson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Noel Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jackson throws a strike aimed at the side of Ruenos's head but Ruenos avoids it well. Ruenos on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Jackson wants to stand but Ruenos has his arm trapped. Jackson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ruenos can do to turn this around? A bit of a lull in the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson throws a strike but Ruenos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ruenos drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Ruenos off! Ruenos jumps back into Jackson's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ruenos seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jackson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
