Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alikc Kavkazec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Volkoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alikc Kavkazec!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkoff shoots in looking for a takedown. Kavkazec tries to sprawl out of it but Volkoff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kavkazec manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Volkoff gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kavkazec counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kavkazec has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Alikc Kavkazec seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Volkoff gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kavkazec wants to stand but Volkoff has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Volkoff has his foot on Kavkazec's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kavkazec works his way back into a safe position though.
Kavkazec has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Volkoff working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kavkazec doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kavkazec manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Volkoff is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kavkazec is aware though and is defending well.
Kavkazec stands and steps away. Volkoff gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Kavkazec counters with a single leg into guard. Volkoff didn't expect that.

Volkoff shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kavkazec but Kavkazec pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kavkazec changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Volkoff looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kavkazec wants to lay and pray for a moment but Volkoff keeps working.
Volkoff is looking to reverse the position.
Kavkazec lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Volkoff down.
Kavkazec stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Kavkazec shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Volkoff closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kavkazec quickly recovers to half guard.
Volkoff seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Kavkazec might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kavkazec is looking to get back to full guard here but Volkoff has managed to pass to side control instead.

Kavkazec could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kavkazec pushes Volkoff away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Volkoff gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Volkoff jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kavkazec walks away with a smile on his face. Volkoff gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alikc Kavkazec will probably get the nod.
