Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ackles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
James lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Andi Ackles has been cut.
Nice cross by James.
Ackles leaves James with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
James lands a glancing blow to the side of Ackles's head.
No luck for James with that takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ackles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JA James. That's going to take a lot out of him.
James lands with a straight right. Ackles didn't see that one coming.
James connects with a nice looking jab.
James tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Ackles counters with a single leg into guard. James didn't expect that.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ackles landing with the ground and pound.
Ackles postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it.
Ackles content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

James working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ackles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ackles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Ackles working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of James's head.

James is rocked!
Ackles gets to his feet and stands over James, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! James felt that one! Ackles unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save James from any more punishment!
