Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerlach Rutger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reijo Ruthman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruthman has chosen Special Teamz - Get Down as his entrance music. Reijo Ruthman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ruthman manages to get to full guard.
Ruthman controls Rutger momentarily but Rutger frees himself.

Ruthman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rutger shoots in for a takedown but Ruthman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ruthman misses with a series of wild punches.
Reijo Ruthman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ruthman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Rutger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ruthman gets caught napping as Rutger dives in and scores a takedown. Ruthman manages to retain guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rutger's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Ruthman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
