The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young II misses with a wild combination.
Thunder misses the shot to the body.
Thunder slaps away a takedown attempt from Young II, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Young II fails to land with a series of punches.

Thunder avoids a punch combination nicely.
Thunder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Thunder fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Young II looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Young II displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Thunder.
Thunder shoots in and gets a takedown into Young II's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Young II can't keep his opponent in guard - Thunder advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Thunder is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Thunder seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Young II does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Thunder wants to work for an arm triangle but Young II is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Thunder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Young II is just riding it out for now. Thunder eventually gives up the hold.

Thunder passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Young II!
Thunder cracks Young II with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Young II is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Thunder controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Young II changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thunder tries to avoid it but Young II manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thunder to the ground. Thunder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Thunder swings for the body but Young II moves out of range.
Young II is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thunder sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Thunder misses with a jab, cross combination.

Young II shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thunder pinned against the cage. Thunder gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Thunder has an Americana. Young II didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Thunder is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Thunder hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
