Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Golf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh's entrance music is Immortal - Unearthly Kingdom. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karim Chamakh! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Golf! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Golf misses with a looping left. Golf avoids the body shot from Chamakh.
Chamakh tries to clinch up but Golf circles away and keeps his distance. Chamakh slips a jab from Golf. Golf fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Golf misses with a head kick.
Golf misses the shot to the body. Chamakh tries to close the distance and clinch but Golf swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Chamakh misses with a hook to the body
and Golf counters with a flying knee. Nice. Chamakh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Golf paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chamakh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Golf's waist but Golf gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chamakh off to one side. Golf misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Golf. Chamakh tries to clinch there but Golf circles away.

Golf defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chamakh. Chamakh checks a leg kick. Chamakh tries to clinch up but Golf circles away and keeps his distance. Chamakh fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Golf to the ground. Chamakh is now in Golf's guard. Chamakh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Chamakh trying to control the position from guard on top but Golf is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Golf slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Chamakh walks into a straight right hand from Golf. Golf pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chamakh staying out of range there. Golf swats away the attempt to clinch by Chamakh. Chamakh scores a takedown into full mount! Chamakh trying to control but Golf is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chamakh punching from mount but Golf doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chamakh thowing shots but they're missing. Chamakh throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Chamakh trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Golf takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Karim Chamakh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Golf misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chamakh throwing strikes but missing. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Chamakh throws a strike but Golf rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Chamakh seems keen to control Golf's posture.

Chamakh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Golf knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Golf tries to kick Chamakh off but Chamakh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Chamakh not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
