Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Hosking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hosking comes to the cage accompanied by War Machine. The crowd seem to be enjoying Diaz's choice of entrance music: Rev Theory - Light It Up . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent Hosking! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Diaz! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hosking throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Nate Diaz has been cut. Diaz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Diaz avoids the head kick by Hosking.
Diaz moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hosking shoots in for a double leg but Diaz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hosking looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hosking might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Diaz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hosking can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hosking wants to stand but Diaz is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hosking lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Diaz tries to strike from the bottom.
Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hosking postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hosking prevents Diaz from getting back to his feet. Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hosking gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hosking stopping the sweep attempt from Diaz. Hosking has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hosking trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hosking looking to sit in guard and control but Diaz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hosking is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diaz is controlling him. Diaz throwing strikes but missing. Hosking is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz preventing the sweep. Hosking has his foot on Diaz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Diaz works his way back into a safe position though. Diaz throws and elbow that misses. Hosking uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diaz's guard. Nice move by Hosking! Hosking preventing the sweep. Hosking trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Hosking tries to stand but Diaz is controlling from the bottom. Hosking wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hosking looking to pass the guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Vincent Hosking wasn't doing enough on the ground. Diaz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hosking keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hosking with a poor takedown and Diaz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hosking's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Hosking. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hosking looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diaz is one step ahead there. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Hosking is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nate Diaz dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nate Diaz's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Hosking, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Hosking against the cage but Hosking circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hosking manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure. Hosking knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Hosking from controlling successfully. Hosking wants to get up but he can't break Diaz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Hosking wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Vincent Hosking wasn't doing enough on the ground. Diaz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Diaz tries to pull guard but Hosking holds him up against the cage and eventually Diaz drops back down to his feet.
Hosking tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Diaz smiles and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz with a lazy takedown attempt and Hosking moves into the clinch. Vincent Hosking has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Diaz. Diaz prevents the takedown attempt.
Diaz throws a punch but it's blocked by Hosking. Hosking drops down looking for an ankle pick but Diaz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nate Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hosking closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage. Hosking's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Diaz fails in his attempt to clinch. Hosking shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hosking missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to get back to his feet. Diaz preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Hosking is nestled in close to Diaz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Diaz pushes Hosking off looking to stand but Hosking dives back in and keeps control.

Not this time though. Hosking is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diaz is just riding it out for now. Hosking eventually gives up the hold.

Hosking lands a nice looking body kick. Hosking tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Diaz swivels and escapes. A leg kick checked by Hosking. Diaz takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Diaz throws a head kick that misses. Hosking shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hosking trying to pass the guard but Diaz defending well. Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hosking controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hosking throwing shots but Diaz is blocking nicely. Hosking performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hosking seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Vincent Hosking has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz forces Hosking back against the cage and clinches. Diaz prevents a takedown attempt there.
Diaz wants to break the clinch but can't.

Sloppy strikes from Diaz. Those never looked like landing. Hosking looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Hosking. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diaz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. That's three minutes gone in the round. Hosking throws a head kick that misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hosking is defended easily by Diaz. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Diaz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diaz lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz stands and steps away. Hosking gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Hosking moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Diaz doesn't manage to clinch there - Hosking circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz fails to land the takedown. Hosking looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hosking moves out of range of the body kick. Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hosking's waist but Hosking gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side. Hosking clinches up against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hosking crunches a lovely knee into Diaz's ribcage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz takes a shot to the head. Hosking manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Diaz won't allow Hosking to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Vincent Hosking showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hosking has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
