Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Valadez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacque St Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valadez's entrance music is Rock of ages. A fine choice. Jacque St Martin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valadez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and St Martin counters with a single leg into guard. Valadez didn't expect that.
St Martin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
St Martin slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Valadez.
Valadez has a hand on St Martin's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. St Martin takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

St Martin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Valadez's face.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

St Martin is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Valadez is forced to tap! Great finish!
