Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Fatts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil NaLeans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fatts might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hit Em Up by Tupac. Neil NaLeans has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Fatts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neil NaLeans! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! NaLeans jabs Fatts right on the nose. Fatts blinks but takes it well. NaLeans has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fatts finds it's way round the side to connect with NaLeans's head. Fatts fails with a takedown attempt. Fatts with a lazy takedown attempt and NaLeans connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. NaLeans misses with a hook. Fatts ducked under it nicely. NaLeans takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fatts misses with a left hand letting NaLeans counter with a right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! NaLeans fails with an attempt to clinch.
NaLeans takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
NaLeans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jay Fatts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. NaLeans misses the shot to the body.

Fatts works NaLeans's body with a nice hook. NaLeans stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Fatts. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fatts lands a slapping body shot.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. NaLeans slips a straight right by Fatts. NaLeans tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. NaLeans throws an overhand right that lands on Fatts's shoulder, as Fatts tries to avoid the shot. NaLeans leaves Fatts with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. NaLeans swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fatts counters with a nice uppercut. Fatts scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fatts not landing any meaningful shots this time. Fatts seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Fatts is looking to take a break and control but NaLeans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. NaLeans is looking to improve his position.
Fatts controlling the pace. Fatts wants to pass the guard but NaLeans is defending well. Fatts stalling. NaLeans wants to improve his position but Fatts is controlling well.
Fatts not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fatts is trying to control the action in half guard but NaLeans is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Fatts thows a huge punch but NaLeans dodges it nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. NaLeans scores with a sloppy right hand. Fatts should have avoided that one. NaLeans moves out of range of the strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters circling - Fatts throws out the jab but it was never going to land. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. NaLeans takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fatts doesn't succeed with the takedown and NaLeans counters with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jay Fatts will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
NaLeans dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Fatts looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fatts is fighting to break NaLeans's control of his arms but NaLeans is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Fatts trying to control but NaLeans is working from the bottom. Fatts being controlled here momentarily. Fatts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Neil NaLeans wasn't active enough on the ground. NaLeans pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. That kick from NaLeans tenderised Fatts's leg. Fatts is trying to keep his angry face on. Fatts dives in and scores a takedown into NaLeans's guard. NaLeans is trying to keep Fatts in close.
NaLeans is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Fatts is looking to work some ground and pound but NaLeans has wrist control. NaLeans looking to sweep here. No luck so far. NaLeans looking to control.

NaLeans slips a jab from Fatts. NaLeans might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. NaLeans wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fatts gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Fatts. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fatts looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. NaLeans moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fatts takes a swing at NaLeans's ribcage but misses. NaLeans looks to land a combination but Fatts avoids it well. Fatts throws a lazy right hand but NaLeans sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fatts shoots in looking for a takedown but NaLeans manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fatts's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fatts slips under a jab from NaLeans. Fatts keeps the fight on the outside. Fatts slips under a jab. Fatts jabbing away but nothing is landing. Fatts takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Fatts misses with a straight left. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fatts is defended easily by NaLeans. Fatts fails to land the takedown. Fatts fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging NaLeans to the ground. Fatts is now in NaLeans's guard. Fatts trying to control the position from guard on top but NaLeans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. NaLeans working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fatts. NaLeans has Fatts pulled in close to control his posture. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Fatts missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. NaLeans looking to sweep here. No luck so far. NaLeans has momentary wrist control but Fatts slips an elbow through the middle. Jay Fatts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fatts lands a couple of digs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fatts trying to control the position from guard on top but NaLeans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. NaLeans wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. There's a bit of a scramble here and now NaLeans is on top in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Neil NaLeans. I think NaLeans has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
