Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vic Odin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kaleo Ekewaka ! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ekewaka moves away from the strike by Odin. Odin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. A big right from Odin misses. Odin lands a nice shot to the body.
Ekewaka misses with a jab to the body
and Odin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ekewaka swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ekewaka with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Odin to score with a decent uppercut. Odin jabs Ekewaka right on the nose. Ekewaka blinks but takes it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Odin lands the left hand. Odin looks to land a right hand but Ekewaka moved out of range. Ekewaka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Odin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Odin connects with a crisp jab. Odin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ekewaka .
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ekewaka misses with a body shot
and Odin counters with a nice uppercut. Odin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ekewaka takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ekewaka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ekewaka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A looping hook to the body misses from Ekewaka . Odin does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Odin moves out of range as Ekewaka strikes. Ekewaka takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Odin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ekewaka at a distance.
Odin connects with the punch.
Ekewaka is rocked! Odin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Odin cracks Ekewaka with a hook to the temple - Ekewaka is on wobbly legs here! Odin swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Ekewaka falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Odin wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vic Odin!
