And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Katsuo Takeda!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNasty blocks a low kick nicely.
Takeda staying out of range there.
McNasty sizes up Takeda with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
McNasty throws the left hand but Takeda avoids the punch easily.
Takeda checks a leg kick nicely.

McNasty scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Takeda struggling a bit here.
Takeda is looking for a sweep.
McNasty working the ground and pound.
Takeda sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Takeda wants to get back to full guard.
McNasty is thwarting Takeda's attempts to control the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McNasty tries to pass the half guard into mount. Takeda knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
McNasty drops an elbow to the side of Takeda's head.
McNasty prevents Takeda from improving his position.
McNasty knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takeda on the ground.

Takeda is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McNasty pulls his head out easily.

Takeda has hold of McNasty's hands but McNasty slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Takeda is trying to defend against the ground and pound but McNasty scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
McNasty lands strikes from half guard.
McNasty is pressing down on Takeda's thigh, looking to free his foot. Takeda is holding on for now.

Takeda is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McNasty pulls his head out easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Takeda can do anything to dispel that myth.
McNasty prevents Takeda from improving his position.
McNasty is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Takeda has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, McNasty escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by McNasty!

McNasty swings around for an armbar but Takeda sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into McNasty's guard.

McNasty is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Takeda defends well.

Takeda drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Takeda jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Takeda postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
McNasty looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Takeda has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

McNasty wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

McNasty is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McNasty is breathing heavily.

Takeda drops back, looking for a kneebar! McNasty looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McNasty looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McNasty!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Takeda gets back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Takeda manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Takeda working for a triangle but McNasty defends it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McNasty is looking to work some ground and pound but Takeda has wrist control.

McNasty landing some decent shots from guard.
Takeda looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
McNasty working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Takeda bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McNasty's guard.
Takeda throws a big right hand that misses.

Takeda drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McNasty dives on top into guard.

Takeda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McNasty is aware though and is defending well.

Takeda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McNasty can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Takeda has momentary wrist control but McNasty slips an elbow through the middle.
McNasty wants to control from the top but Takeda keeps moving.

Takeda pushes a forearm under McNasty's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, McNasty is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
