Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Burns Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Lennart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Notorious Thugz- Notorious B.I.G ft Bone Thugz N' Harmony. Eugene Burns Jr has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Burns Jr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lennart feints and as Burns Jr raises his hands in defense, Lennart changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Burns Jr wants to sweep but no luck.
Lennart drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lennart jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lennart passes Burns Jr's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lennart seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burns Jr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Burns Jr is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Lennart pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lennart shoots in for a takedown but Burns Jr shows good takedown defense.

Lennart tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burns Jr swivels and escapes.
Burns Jr throws out a leg kick but Lennart moves out of range and Burns Jr only half commits.

Burns Jr tries to bum rush Lennart with a series of wild strikes but Lennart uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lennart closes the distance and clinches up with Burns Jr, looking for a takedown. Lennart pushes Burns Jr against the cage but Burns Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Eugene Burns Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sven Lennart.
Lennart shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Burns Jr but Burns Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Burns Jr looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lennart shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Lennart keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lennart drops down looking for an ankle pick but Burns Jr pulls his leg out and moves away.

Burns Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Burns Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Burns Jr tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Lennart closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lennart lands in his opponent's guard.
Lennart is looking to stand up but Burns Jr won't let him.
Burns Jr manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Burns Jr wants to control the pace but Lennart is squirming around nicely.
Burns Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lennart on the ground.

Burns Jr goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lennart turns into him and now he's in Burns Jr's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Burns Jr isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lennart stacks Burns Jr on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lennart!
Lennart wants to control but Burns Jr is keeping him busy.
Lennart wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Burns Jr, who protects the arm well.
Lennart advances to full mount.

That's time! Burns Jr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Burns Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Burns Jr misses with a straight right.
Lennart moves out of range of the strikes.
Burns Jr misses with a few strikes there.
A combination from Burns Jr does no damage.
Lennart tries for a takedown but Burns Jr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Burns Jr misses with a series of wild punches.

Horrible takedown by Lennart or perhaps it was just good defense by Burns Jr which made him look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lennart. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

You can see the frustration on Burns Jr's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
