Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Takeiya Genji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zeus Mesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeiya Genji has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Genji tries a head kick but it misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mesus is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Genji has managed to escape the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mesus has control of Genji's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Genji regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Mesus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mesus is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Genji to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Genji shrugs it off.

Mesus goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Genji turns into him and now he's in Mesus's guard.

Genji is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mesus has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Genji is looking to defend but Mesus has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Genji! Mesus pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Genji taps out and this one is all over!
