PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Rice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sean Damn!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rice closes the distance but Damn moves to the side

and Damn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rice wants to get back to his feet but Damn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Damn decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rice, up you get!
Rice misses with a few strikes there.
Damn is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rice.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rice tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Damn swivels and escapes.
Rice throws a shot to the body.
Rice dives in and grabs Damn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Damn pushes down on Rice's head and hops out.
A jab from Rice does it's job there.
Rice misses with a double jab.
Rice lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Sean Damn has been cut.

Damn gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rice wants to break free but Damn has control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Damn lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Damn looks gassed!
Rice makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rice wants to get back to his feet but Damn passes into half guard.
Damn prevents Rice from improving his position.
Rice wants to control but Damn is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Rice is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rice slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Rice manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rice scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Damn?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rice has hold of Damn's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Damn manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rice is landing with some decent strikes but Damn is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Rice lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rice raining down shots from the mount!

Damn is rocked!
Rice drops a big elbow. That's hurt Damn! More shots from Rice and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
