Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blade Toorop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toorop is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Capsizing The Sea. Kelvin Stewart had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Kelvin Stewart looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelvin Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blade Toorop!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toorop throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stewart's waist but Stewart gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Toorop off to one side.
Toorop fails with the takedown.
Toorop shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stewart napping and manages to drive through into side control!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Toorop lands a few punches from side control.
Toorop wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stewart keeps working.
Stewart gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Stewart is desperately trying to improve his position but Toorop has a good base and remains in mount.
Stewart is breathing heavily.
Toorop putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Stewart tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Toorop jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stewart manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Toorop lands a few punches from side control.
Toorop has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Toorop looks for a takedown but Stewart sprawls well.
Kelvin Stewart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blade Toorop.
Toorop bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Toorop advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Toorop in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Stewart tries to reverse the position but Toorop maintains control.
Toorop postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stewart looks a forlorn figure.
Toorop scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Toorop is landing with some decent strikes but Stewart is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Toorop scoring with strikes but Stewart is staying in there.
Toorop lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Stewart is rocked!
Toorop takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Oh Stewart is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stewart knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Toorop on the ground.
Toorop unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Stewart wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Toorop celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blade Toorop!
