Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Vlasov with that takedown attempt.
IV throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

IV feints and as Vlasov raises his hands in defense, IV changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Vlasov closes the distance and clinches up with IV, looking for a takedown. Vlasov pushes IV against the cage but IV circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

IV tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vlasov swivels and escapes.
IV sizes up Vlasov with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ivan IV seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

IV shoots in for a double leg but Vlasov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
IV shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vlasov but Vlasov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

IV scores with a one two! Vlasov had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Vlasov counters with a straight right hand.
IV throws a right hand that Vlasov ducks under and follows up with a left that Vlasov also avoids with ease.
Vlasov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. IV looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
IV sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Vlasov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
IV makes his way to full guard. A much better position for IV.
Vlasov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as IV works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vlasov wants to pass the guard but IV is keeping the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vlasov stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! IV throws up his legs and catches Vlasov in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Vlasov tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by IV! That came out of nowhere!
