Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max McRiot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McRiot comes to the cage accompanied by None. Barnes has chosen Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be as his entrance music. Mike Barnes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes feints and then cracks McRiot's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McRiot down.
Barnes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McRiot has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
McRiot fails with a takedown attempt.
Barnes looks to land a right hand but McRiot moved out of range.
The fighters circling - McRiot throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McRiot is defended easily by Barnes.
McRiot shoots in and bounces Barnes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Barnes wants to sweep here but McRiot controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barnes is trying to control the position but McRiot postures up.
McRiot content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
McRiot wants to pass the guard but Barnes is keeping the position.
McRiot passes Barnes's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
McRiot is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barnes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McRiot.
McRiot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McRiot wants to pass the guard but Barnes is defending well.
McRiot seems to be working for a kimura but Barnes defends the submission attempt.
McRiot not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Barnes is trying to defend against the ground and pound but McRiot scores with a couple of nice shots.
Barnes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McRiot is working away from the top position though.
Barnes wants to improve his position but McRiot is controlling well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McRiot is keen to just control but Barnes is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McRiot is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Barnes gets back to full guard.
Barnes is looking to stand up but McRiot isn't so interested in that idea.
Barnes looking to hit a scissor sweep but McRiot is one step ahead there.

McRiot connects with a couple of short punches.
McRiot pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barnes is keeping the position for now.
McRiot postures up and lands a big shot to Barnes's brow.
McRiot throws and elbow that misses. Barnes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McRiot's guard. Nice move by Barnes!
McRiot manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Barnes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

McRiot lands a big elbow.
Barnes tries to hold on but McRiot pushes him away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnes is looking to get to half guard.
Barnes is squirming around, avoiding McRiot's attempts to control the action.
Barnes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McRiot. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McRiot cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
McRiot looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Barnes is trying desperately to improve position.
McRiot trying to control but Barnes is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McRiot controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max McRiot dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
McRiot tries for a takedown but Barnes circles away easily
and Barnes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barnes on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Barnes throws a head kick that McRiot semi-blocks.
McRiot looks to land a left hand but Barnes moved out of range nicely.
McRiot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barnes is fending him off so far but McRiot persists. Nope, Barnes circles away and we're back to standing.
Barnes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McRiot.
McRiot misses with a right hand
and Barnes counters with a leg kick.
McRiot scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Barnes gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Barnes won't allow McRiot to pass to mount.
McRiot is working for a submission of some sort.

Barnes is looking for a sweep. McRiot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McRiot trying to mount his opponent but Barnes defends it.
McRiot works his way into full mount!
Barnes is trying desperately to improve position.
McRiot controlling from the full mount.
McRiot has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Barnes's face.

McRiot thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Barnes is looking to improve his position but McRiot isn't that keen on the idea.
McRiot looking to control but Barnes is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
McRiot throwing strikes here but Barnes is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McRiot lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

McRiot goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Barnes is on top in guard.

Barnes wants to control from the top but McRiot keeps moving.
Barnes landing some decent shots from guard.
Barnes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McRiot works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McRiot looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McRiot looking for subs off his back but Barnes has passed one foot through into half guard.

McRiot tries to get to full guard but Barnes has control of the leg.
Max McRiot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McRiot looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Mike Barnes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Max McRiot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McRiot keeps control of the position for the meantime.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barnes passes to side control.
Barnes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barnes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that's the end of the fight!
Max McRiot showed his dominance in that final round.
