PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rainbow Brite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Zimmerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brite comes to the cage accompanied by Rainbow Brite. Zimmerman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Linkin Park-- What Ive Done. Eric Zimmerman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brite feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Zimmermans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Brite is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The fighters circling - Zimmerman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Zimmerman loads up on a big right hand but Brite slips the punch.
Brite throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Brite thuds his right hand into Zimmerman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rainbow Brite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zimmerman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brite connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zimmerman scrambles back to his feet.
Zimmerman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Zimmerman might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Brite has got the better of the exchanges.

Zimmerman takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Zimmerman has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Zimmerman throws a series of punches but Brite avoids them all with ease.

Zimmerman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Zimmerman looking for a submission but Brite manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Brite bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zimmerman's guard.
Zimmerman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Brite is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Brite has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

He tries to recover but Brite pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Zimmerman is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
