Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miyamoto Usagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KJ Dempsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, KJ Dempsey!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Usagi.
Usagi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dempsey pinned against the cage. Dempsey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice defenses there by Usagi.
Usagi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Usagi tries to clinch but Dempsey is having none of it.
Dempsey looks to throw the jab but Usagi is out of range.
Dempsey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dempsey moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
It looks like Miyamoto Usagi has been cut.
Dempsey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Usagi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Usagi manages to end up in side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fight stays on the outside here - Usagi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Dempsey fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Usagi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Dempsey throws an overhand right that lands on Usagi's shoulder, as Usagi tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters circling - Dempsey throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dempsey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Usagi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dempsey somewhat.

KJ Dempsey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

KJ Dempsey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dempsey tries to bum rush Usagi with a series of wild strikes but Usagi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Usagi's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dempsey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Usagi scrambles back to his feet.

Dempsey thuds his right hand into Usagi's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Usagi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Usagi showed some decent athleticism there.
Usagi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Dempsey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Miyamoto Usagi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dempsey keeping hold of Usagi's head, controlling as best he can.
Usagi is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dempsey!

Usagi pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Usagi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dempsey to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dempsey shrugs it off.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Miyamoto Usagi.
I think Dempsey has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
