The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esperanza misses with a series of wild punches.

Yeung chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Esperanza can pounce on him.

Esperanza lands a left and a right that send Yeung crashing to the mat, dazed. Esperanza thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

so Yeung counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Yeung is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Esperanza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yeung defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yeung drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yeung jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Yeung sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Esperanza 's guard.
Yeung looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Yeung tries to pass to full mount but Esperanza defends it.
