Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Renton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renton comes to the cage accompanied by Underworld - Born Slippy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Renton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Perkins! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perkins takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Renton tries to sprawl but Perkins drives through with a takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Renton wants to improve his position but Perkins is controlling well.

Perkins is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Perkins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Renton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Renton keeps control of the position for the meantime. That's one minute gone in the round. Renton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Renton slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Perkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Renton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Renton wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Renton getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Terry Perkins has been cut. Renton lands a jab to the head.
Renton leaves Perkins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Perkins with a poor takedown and Renton counters with a left and a right that stings Perkins. Renton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Perkins doesn't seem bothered though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Renton lands with a nice combination. Perkins backs away looking to recover. Renton throws a one two combo.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Renton drops Perkins with a naaaaasty hook - Perkins is in real trouble here! Renton dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
