Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matte Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedor Emelianenko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Emelianenko as he avoids it easily.
Black looks to score with a jab to the body but Emelianenko is just out of range.
Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Emelianenko.
Black closes this distance looking for a takedown but Emelianenko circles away.
Black tries to clinch up.
Black fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matte Black. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Emelianenko paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Emelianenko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Emelianenko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Black sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Emelianenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Emelianenko throws a push kick but Black slaps the foot to one side.
Black tries to clinch but Emelianenko moves out of range.

Black keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Emelianenko pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Emelianenko misses with a kick to the body.
Emelianenko looks for a takedown but Black sprawls well.
Black shoots for a double leg takedown but Emelianenko sprawls well. He's pushed Black's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Black fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Emelianenko to the ground. Black is now in Emelianenko's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Black lands a couple of digs.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Emelianenko can do anything to dispel that myth.
Black forces his way into half guard.
Emelianenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Black is working away from the top position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Black gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

and Black counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Emelianenko is looking for a sweep.
Black is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Emelianenko will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Black is working to tighten is grip on Emelianenko's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Emelianenko has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Black is really squeezing tight and eventually Emelianenko passes out! Black breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
