The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero tries to clinch up.
Sanford throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sanford throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sanford misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zero takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sanford tries a low kick but Zero avoids it.

It looks like Sub Zero has been cut.
Sanford works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sanford throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sanford scores with a kick to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sanford lands a nice shot that snaps Zero's head back.
Sanford lunges at Zero with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Zero's hand.

Zero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sanford as he jumps to the side.
Sanford buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Zero holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Sanford with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Sanford tries to land a knee to the head but Zero blocks with his arms.
Zero tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sanford smiles and moves away.
Zero misses with a few strikes there.

Zero checks a leg kick.
Zero tries to clinch up but Sanford circles away and keeps his distance.
Sanford scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zero on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sanford. Sanford obviously looking to wear him down.
Sanford throws a leg kick which misses Zero's front leg but catches the back leg as Zero tries to avoid it.
Zero doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanford circles away.

Zero drops his hands momentarily and Sanford takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Sub Zero's cut is getting worse.
Sanford digs a good body shot into Zero's ribs.

Sanford throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zero takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
An inside leg kick lands from Sanford.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sanford. Zero does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Sanford counters with a good low kick that Zero was not able to check.

Sanford throws a big shot that misses.
Sanford ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zero moves away.
Sanford fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Zero.

Zero takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zero wants to clinch up but Sanford keeps it at a distance.
Sanford connects with a single shot there.

Sub Zero's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Sanford thuds his shin into the meat of Zero's side.
Zero is breathing heavily.
Sanford misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sanford lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fred Sanford is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zero on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Zero throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sanford cracks Zero with a right hand to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sanford is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Zero takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Sanford throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Sanford throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sub Zero's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
