Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Barett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Herb Fent!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barett gets caught flat footed, as Fent shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Barett manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Fent gets the takedown into side control.
Barett sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Fent with the ground and pound but Barett uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Fent content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Barett has locked up a guillotine! Barett's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Fent is holding on here and Barett must be using up a lot of energy. Fent has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Barett gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
