Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Eight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarvan Atherton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Eight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarvan Atherton! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atherton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Atherton closes the distance and clinches. Eight blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Atherton misses with an elbow strike.
Eight wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Atherton has him pressed against the cage. Eight misses with a hook to the ribs.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Atherton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Atherton connects with a nasty looking knee right to Eight's face.
Eight avoids the elbow strike from Atherton, against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Atherton lands an elbow inside. Eight is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Atherton is defending well for now. Eight blocks an elbow strike from Atherton.
Nice elbow from Atherton. Atherton gets a trip takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Eight tries to roll over but Atherton keeps him under control. Atherton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Eight with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atherton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Atherton is nestled in close to Eight, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Atherton stops Eight from getting back to his feet.
Atherton lands strikes from half guard. Atherton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Atherton not landing any meaningful shots this time. Atherton prevents Eight from improving his position. Atherton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Eight is rocked! Atherton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Oh Eight is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Atherton lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Eight! More strikes land and this one is all over! Atherton jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jarvan Atherton!
