Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hero Sheema (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Michihiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michihiro has chosen Bad Company as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that DJ Michihiro was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hero Sheema! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, DJ Michihiro! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michihiro instigates a clinch. Sheema goes for a takedown attempt but Michihiro pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sheema gets tackled into the cage by Michihiro. Michihiro maintains the clinch. Sheema can't get the takedown.
Sheema has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Michihiro is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hero Sheema. That's going to take a lot out of him. Michihiro manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Michihiro should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Sheema wants to control from the top but Michihiro keeps moving. Michihiro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sheema. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sheema postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Michihiro is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sheema, into his guard. Michihiro is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheema has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Michihiro has passed into side control.
Michihiro with the ground and pound but Sheema regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Michihiro is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sheema is doing well to control the position and prevent Michihiro from advancing to side control. Sheema looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sheema won't allow Michihiro to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sheema regains full guard. Nicely done. Michihiro tries to free his leg and advance position but Sheema is retaining full guard. Michihiro controlling from the top position. Sheema is adopting a defensive guard. Michihiro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
DJ Michihiro has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Michihiro moves into the clinch successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sheema has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Michihiro after a bit of a struggle. Michihiro jumps guard and drags Sheema to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Michihiro is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sheema drops back, looking for a kneebar! Michihiro looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Michihiro looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Michihiro! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Michihiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sheema keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DJ Michihiro dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Michihiro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sheema is trying to defend but Michihiro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Sheema has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Michihiro is working away from the top position though. Michihiro trying to control the action but Sheema is working from the bottom. Michihiro tries to pass to full mount but Sheema defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michihiro prevents Sheema from improving his position. Michihiro trying to control the pace.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. DJ Michihiro wasn't active enough on the ground. Michihiro doesn't manage to clinch there - Sheema circles away.
Sheema looks for a takedown but Michihiro sprawls well. Michihiro scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sheema is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Michihiro's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Michihiro is keen to just control but Sheema is a slippery customer. Michihiro looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sheema keeping hold of Michihiro's head, controlling as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sheema is looking to improve his position.
DJ Michihiro has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up. DJ Michihiro was stalling too much, according to the referee. A jab from Sheema misses. Sheema shoots in but Michihiro avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sheema throws a left and a right that both miss
and Michihiro counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Michihiro turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Michihiro stands up and we're back to a striking position. Michihiro wants to clinch and Sheema counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Michihiro's guard now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Michihiro looking for a sweep. Not yet Michihiro, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sheema gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Michihiro is breathing heavily. Sheema closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sheema lands in his opponent's guard. Michihiro wants to improve his position but instead Sheema has moved into half guard.
Sheema wants to take a breather but Michihiro is having none of it. Sheema scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Michihiro pushes Sheema off looking to stand but Sheema dives back in and keeps control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Michihiro wants to get back to full guard. Michihiro is refusing to be controlled, as Sheema sits in half guard. Sheema tries to stand but can't do so whilst Michihiro controls his leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hero Sheema will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Michihiro blocks a low kick nicely. Sheema looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Michihiro wants to clinch up but Sheema keeps it at a distance. Sheema gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Michihiro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Michihiro looking to sit in guard and control but Sheema gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Michihiro keeping moving, preventing Sheema from controlling successfully. Sheema postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Michihiro is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sheema, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michihiro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sheema not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Hero Sheema wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sheema misses with a series of wild punches.
Sheema leaves Michihiro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Michihiro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Michihiro wants it to stay on the feet. Michihiro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sheema sprawls well. Sheema wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Michihiro gets slowly back to his feet. Michihiro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michihiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sheema swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sheema wants to sweep here but Michihiro controlling him for the moment. Michihiro wants to control from the top but Sheema keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by DJ Michihiro. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Michihiro. Hero Sheema has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Michihiro. Michihiro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Michihiro clinches up against the cage. Sheema tries to land knees in the clinch but Michihiro avoids the damage to the body. Sheema has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Michihiro after a bit of a struggle. Michihiro dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Sheema is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Michihiro pulls him back up using the underhooks.
And that's the end of the fight! DJ Michihiro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Michihiro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
