Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Nurse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nurse might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Phil Nurse had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nurse counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ramos thinking.
Nurse tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nurse swinging wildly here.

and Nurse counters with a body kick that stops Ramos in his tracks momentarily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramos is defended easily by Nurse.
Phil Nurse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Ramos.
Nurse lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ramos looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramos chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nurse can pounce on him.
Nurse works Ramos's body with a nice hook.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Nurse.
Ramos has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Nurse.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramos has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nurse finds it's way round the side to connect with Ramos's head.
Nurse lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Ramos falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Phil Nurse!
Phil Nurse took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
