18 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Johnson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hall keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Thomas Johnson has been cut. Hall lands a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Hall. Johnson throws a right hand that Hall ducks under and follows up with a left that Hall also avoids with ease. Hall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively. Hall tries a head kick but it misses.
Hall throws a series of punches but Johnson moves out of range. Hall looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well. Johnson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Johnson looks gassed! Hall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Hall. Hall misses with a wild body shot. Hall throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hall cracks a nice hook into Johnson's ribs. Hall misses the shot to the body. Johnson fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall thuds his right hand into Johnson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Hall connects with a good right hand that stumbles Johnson. Johnson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Hall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hall fails to land with a series of punches.
Hall closes the distance and pushes Johnson back into the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hall makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Hall controlling the action here for a moment.
Hall throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Johnsons head. Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Knees in the clinch landing for Hall.
Hall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hall changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Albert Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Hall shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hall jabs Johnson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Hall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
Hall has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.
Hall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hall lands the left hand. Hall moves into the clinch. Hall lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Hall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hall avoids it really well and circles away. Albert Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Johnson. Johnson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Johnson walks into a straight right hand from Hall. Hall scores with a shot to the body.
Hall scores with a jab to the head.
That has opened up Thomas Johnson's cut even more. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hall thuds his right hand into Johnson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Johnson is rocked! Hall throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily. Hall cracks Johnson with a hook to the temple - Johnson is on wobbly legs here! Hall swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Johnson falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Hall wins by TKO!
