Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hessu Hopo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigori Lebedev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hessu Hopo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lebedev looks to land a right hand but Hopo moved out of range.
Hopo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lebedev missing with a left hand there. Hopo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lebedev digs a good hook to Hopo's body.
A left lands for Lebedev.

It looks like Hessu Hopo has been cut.
Lebedev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hopo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lebedev misses with a hook.
Lebedev swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hopo slips a jab from Lebedev.

Hopo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lebedev sprawls well. Lebedev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hopo gets slowly back to his feet.

Hopo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lebedev's waist but Lebedev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hopo off to one side.

Hopo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hopo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lebedev scores with a decent looking hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lebedev scores with the left hand. Hopo knows he should have avoided that one.
Lebedev looks to score with a jab to the body but Hopo is just out of range.
Hopo fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hessu Hopo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hopo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lebedev stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Hessu Hopo's cut is getting worse.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hopo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Lebedev scores with a hook to the body. Hopo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Lebedev rushes Hopo and presses him up against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Lebedev.
Hopo is working for takedown but Lebedev is calmly controlling the position for now.

Lebedev manages to break the clinch.
Lebedev throws a shot from downtown. Hopo moves away and avoids it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Lebedev is looking to score with low kicks.
Hopo fails to land with a series of punches.
Hopo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Grigori Lebedev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lebedev throws the left hand but Hopo avoids the punch easily.
Lebedev tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hopo was well out of range. Poor timing from Lebedev.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lebedev throws a looping overhand right but Hopo ducks down to avoid it.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hopo moves out of range as Lebedev strikes.
Lebedev misses with a wild body shot.
Hopo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Lebedev throws a leg kick but Hopo checks it.
Hopo ducks right into an uppercut from Lebedev.
Lebedev stuffs the takedown.
Lebedev tries to close the distance and clinch but Hopo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lebedev misses with a looping right.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hopo is defended easily by Lebedev.
Hopo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lebedev tries to avoid it but Hopo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lebedev to the ground. Lebedev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hessu Hopo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lebedev connects with a looping right hand.

Hessu Hopo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Hopo fails to land the takedown.
Hopo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lebedev.

Hopo misses with a two punch combination.
Hopo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lebedev sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hopo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lebedev tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hopo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
An inside leg kick lands from Lebedev.
Lebedev lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lebedev throws a poor cross that misses
and Hopo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Crunch! Lebedev slams his shin into Hopo's torso.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lebedev uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Jeez, Hessu Hopo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Lebedev explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hessu Hopo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
