Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Walton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Chris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris has chosen Kapag Ako'y Bumabalik as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Walton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Chris! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walton's waist but Walton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chris off to one side. Walton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. Walton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chris is fending him off so far but Walton persists. Nope, Chris circles away and we're back to standing. Chris throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walton as he avoids it easily. Chris shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Walton eats them both and turns towards Chris to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walton fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Walton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Walton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Chris working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Walton. Chris utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Walton thows a big elbow that misses. Walton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Walton lands a couple of digs. Chris wants to stand up but Walton is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walton postures up in Chris's guard and throws a big left but Chris blocks it. Walton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chris utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Chris wants to get back to his feet but Walton is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Walton throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Chris wants to stand up but Walton is controlling him. Walton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Walton is in close to Chris's body, working some short punches and elbows. Chris is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Chris utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Walton with a flurry of punches that miss. Walton chips away with some ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Walton wants to pass the guard but Chris is keeping the position. Chris is looking to stand up but Walton isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walton is looking to work some ground and pound but Chris has wrist control. Walton throwing strikes but missing. Walton landing some decent shots from guard. Walton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Walton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Chris is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Walton landing with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walton postures up and lands a big shot to Chris's brow. Chris looking for a sweep. Not yet Chris, not yet. Walton postures up in Chris's guard and throws a big left but Chris blocks it. Walton with a flurry of punches that miss. Walton works over Chris with some ground and pound from guard. Walton scoring with punches to the head and body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Walton is in close to Chris's body, working some short punches and elbows. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Walton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Walton with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Walton dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Walton fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Chris tries to bum rush Walton with a series of wild strikes but Walton uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Walton feints and as Chris raises his hands in defense, Walton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Chris has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Walton off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Tim Walton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walton shoots in and gets a takedown into Chris's guard. Walton landing with the ground and pound. Chris is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walton is controlling him. Walton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chris is keeping the position for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walton scoring with some ground and pound. Chris is trying to hold Walton in close to prevent damage but Walton has managed to pass into half guard.
Walton thows a huge punch but Chris dodges it nicely.
Walton passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Chris! Walton lands a big elbow. The referee warns Chris that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Walton lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walton working the ground and pound effectively.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Walton lands a heavy elbow. Walton punishing his opponent with strikes. Walton scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Chris?
Walton breaks from Chris's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Chris is rocked! Whack. That's a big, big shot from Walton! Chris is out cold! This one is all over!
