The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamison thows a body shot but no joy.
Horrible takedown by Jamison or perhaps it was just good defense by Bainite which made him look bad.

Jamison closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bainite did well to prevent Jamison getting side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Well, with Jamison on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Bainite is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Jamison shoots for a double leg takedown but Bainite sprawls well. He's pushed Jamison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

After the fight, Kurt Jamison was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
