Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gonna Move! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Move walks forward, straight into a front kick from King. Move tries to keep at a distance but King has taken the fight into the clinch. King gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Knees to the body from King.
King is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. King lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. King closes the distance and clinches. Move should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Move drops to a knee looking for a takedown but King gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Move jumps guard but King stands there with Move around his waist. Move gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Move tries for a takedown. No joy.
George King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gonna Move. King scores with a knee to the head.
King prevents the takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Move escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
King has closed the distance and engaged Move in a clinch.
King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. King wants to clinch. King takes the fight into the clinch. King lands an elbow that stopped Move in his tracks for a moment. King lands an elbow inside that Move shrugs off. Move wants a takedown but no success here.
King just leaning against Move, taking a breather. King lands with a right to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Move drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
King gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Move.
King connects with a nasty looking knee right to Move's face.
Move takes a knee right on the jaw!
Move is rocked! King avoiding damage.
Move is still on wobbly legs! Can King finish him? King with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. King has Move pressed against the cage. He pushes Move back and as he springs towards him off the cage, King throws a beautiful elbow that sends Move crashing to the floor! King piles on the pressure with more strikes! Move is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George King!
