The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Simpson finds it's way through Fisher's defenses.
Fisher takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Simpson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Simpson throws the kick towards the body but Fisher avoids it.

Fisher moves into the clinch successfully.
Fisher blocks the elbow strike.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fisher managing to block the knees to the body from Simpson.

Fisher lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Simpson backwards.
Fisher has a couple of punches blocked by Simpson.
Simpson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Simpson throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Fisher gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Simpson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Fisher.
Simpson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fisher on the ground.
Simpson is breathing heavily.
Fisher throws a big right hand that misses.

Fisher thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fisher drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fisher jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Simpson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Fisher sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Simpson's guard.
Simpson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Simpson tries to get out of the position.

Fisher is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Simpson is trying to maintain the position but Fisher is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Fisher dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fisher lands a right hand that snaps the head of Simpson backwards.

Simpson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fisher's elbow.
Fisher creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Simpson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Simpson drops to his knees and Fisher pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Fisher!
